Daily Hive Announced Our Vancouver Opening Before Daily Coffee News stopped by our finished cafe, Daily Hive Vancouver broke the news that we were opening one at all. Their Dished team covered our soft opening back in April, and reading it back now, months into being open, it's a fun snapshot of what we set out to build. What we told them Noct started as an online shop shipping specialty roasts, and the cafe was always the bigger dream behind it. Here's what I shared with Daily Hive at the time: "I started Noct as a specialty micro-roastery, and I had a dream of creating a space where we could share our passion for coffee and for people to experience what Noct stands for. We want to become a coffee company that focuses on care, from the selection of our green, to our profiles, to how we brew it." We also talked about the kind of space we wanted it to be: a real third space for the neighbourhood, somewhere people could slow down, stay a while, and feel at home. Two zones, one cafe One detail Daily Hive picked up on that we love revisiting is how we split the space in two. The re-connect zone is built for conversation, the kind of table you sit at with a friend and don't check your phone. The re-imagine zone is for the people studying, working, or building their dreams one coffee at a time, heads down with a laptop and a pour over. We also teased our signature drink menu in that piece: complex, speakeasy-style drinks with all the craft and none of the alcohol. Zero proof, full flavour. Where it all happened Noct is located at 4807 Main St in Vancouver, in the space Matchstick Coffee called home for years before closing all of its locations. We opened softly on April 11 with a limited menu, then settled into our regular hours not long after. If you haven't made it in yet, come by for the coffee, the drinks, the pastries, and the vibes. Shop Noct Coffee →
