WHAT INSPIRED NOCT?

Noct was born out of a deep passion project to bring a more intimate experience to the metro Vancouver area. I launched Noct to share stories, explore what specialty coffee has to offer, and create an intimate experience among guests and coffee enthusiasts. We aim to leave judgement at the door, we believe that everyone has the right to enjoy what they enjoy but at Noct, let us guide you and lets have fun exploring something new!

OUR MISSION

Our vision when we started Noct was to create an intimate coffee experience where communities could gather and truly enjoy their time together, surrounded by a safe and fun environment. As we worked on Noct, we realized we could do more, fixing issues that we see in our community and industry, and strive to be 'Not your ordinary cafe'.

HOW WE DO BETTER

1. We are a living wage employer. We believe that our employees shouldn't depend on tips in order to make enough money to simply live. We pay our employees what the living wage is in our area to make sure that we can take care of them as well as they take care of us. 

2. We are a no tipping establishment. It's our job to pay our employees not our guests.

3. We are a tax included establishment. We're so fed up with seeing a price on the menu then when its time to pay, after tax and tip, the price has increased drastically. So we set out to do what so many other countries do and just include the tax into the price. 

4. We are dedicated to sourcing from reputable, fair trade green coffee importers, and local farms for our coffee and other food products needed to serve the best product possible. 

5. We are a proudly Canadian business, and we aim to produce/source as much of our merchandise and supplies from local companies in Canada, or from companies who align with our vision of 'DOING BETTER'
